toning the body and training the mind since 2008

As a sixth degree black belt, Jong has studied martial arts for over 30 years, including Chi Kung, Tai Chi, and Judo. He holds the AFAA Personal Trainer Certification and is certified in CPR under the American Heart Association. Jong's practice was founded off of the fields of basketball, soccer, volleyball, and track, and became rooted in the practice of Chi Kung; the utilization of breath and energy control to achieve strength, balance, and energy in these conventional sports was the catalyst to realizing the benefit of breath in a holistic application.

the healthiest version of yourself.

This understanding is the basis of Jong's knowledge of how to make the body work in a way that is empowering to the physical being and strengthening to the mind. The key: the body's flow, otherwise known as the chi. Through specialized breathing practice, posture focus, and tai chi concentration, the mind and body will be joined, tapping into the body's natural power and flow.

Jong has been working with me for over a year now and he continues to impress me with his approach to fitness. Not only does he tone the body, but he trains the mind as well.

Jong brings a unique approach to my training. A focus on breathing and control as well as strength. I have energy I haven’t felt in years and feel I can better control my body, especially in stressful situations. If you are interested in doing more than just lifting weights, you should talk to Jong. It worked for me.
— Lyle Anderson, Business Executive
Never in my life have I gained so much, learned so much, or improved so much as I have with my training with Jong. Not only am I getting healthier physically, but I am getting healthier mentally and I truly know the best is yet to come.
— Bob Coulombe, Former Pro Tennis Player
Jong always focuses on the proper form in whatever capacity the exercise comes. Whether he puts you in a pair of boxing gloves to spar, has you twirling the ‘sai’ as you dance like an ancient Chinese warrior, or simply curl western weights, he aims to cut down on unnecessary movement by efficiently engaging muscles in use.

I have been training with Jong for many years, twice a week each week. We focus on core work, breathing and form. We never use heavy weights, and always consider avoiding stress on important joints. My workouts include a variety of exercises, from yoga, to boxing. We focus much more on using perfect form than on the number of repetitions. We try to make even routine exercises more difficult by slowing the pace of repetitions and concentrating on correct form. I am extremely satisfied with what I have learned from Jong, and very pleased with what his training has done for me. I would highly recommend Jong to anyone who is serious about physical exercise and a balanced approach to developing condition, strength and tone.

As a cyclist, I was concerned about focusing only on leg strength. Jong’s training approach has been extremely effective focusing not only on the entire body but also on the mind by utilizing breathing techniques and developing Chi. For me, it is extremely effective. Almost from the start, there was a positive change in both physical appearence as well as core body strength. Over time the results have been dramatic. He focuses on building strength, endurance, and power.
